Trespa Meteon Range
Amazing Materials, Finishes & SystemsGood design starts with inspiration, exceptional vision and provocative thinking. It comes to life with great materials, finishes and systems. Trespa® Meteon® brings compelling aesthetic and nearly limitless design possibilities with various colours, rhythms and depths to next-generation architectural claddings. The panels can be used on its own, or in combination with other materials, to create stunning façades or exceptional curved highlights. Where concept meets solution, you’ll find Trespa® Meteon®.
Trespa® Meteon® is a decorative high-pressure compact laminate (HPL) with an integral surface manufactured using Trespa’s unique in-house technologies, Electron Beam Curing (EBC) and Dry Forming (DF). The blend of up to 70% wood-based fibres and thermosetting resins, manufactured under high pressures and temperatures yields a highly stable, dense panel with good strength- to-weight ratio’s.
Spectacular Façades to Enhance Buildings
Trespa® Meteon® panels are perfect for use in innovative and functional ventilated façade systems. Used on its own or as a highlight in combination with other materials, Trespa® Meteon® can determine the look and underline the qualities of a building.
Trespa is on the forefront of cutting-edge building techniques. Ventilated façades are more than a design gesture – they provide energy efficient, long- lasting properties. A ventilated façade system may result in a variety of advantages. First, a chimney effect draws air through the cavity, aiding in the removal of heat and moisture from rain or condensation. Second, the rainscreen also blocks some solar gain and accommodates continuous insulation, considerably reducing the need for air conditioning. Third, these results are shown to improve comfort within living areas. Residents and users not only find themselves in a low- maintenance-environment, but the dry and comfortable conditions of the building may also make a positive contribution to indoor environmental quality (IEQ).
Limitless Possibilities
Trespa® Meteon® is an extremely versatile material. The panels can be combined easily with other building materials to create one-of-a-kind effects and highlights. With a broad range of colours, finishes and tactile effects, Trespa® Meteon® brings compelling aesthetic and nearly limitless design possibilities to next-generation architectural claddings.
Trespa® Meteon® may be cut and installed in many configurations or profiles. Plus combining Trespa® Meteon® with Trespa Curved Elements* radiused panels lends façades added depth and character.
Weather Resistant and Colour Stable
Trespa® Meteon® panels perform outdoors exceptionally well. Sun and rain will have no significant effect on the panel’s surface. The panels are practically impervious to acid rain as well. Accelerated weathering tests are the best measure of performance, and recent trials continue to rank Trespa® Meteon® ’s decorative surface at high classifications for UV-resistance and colour stability.
Low Maintenance
Trespa® Meteon® panels are robust and nonreactive, so no coating or protective cover is required. The closed, pore-free surfaces of dense HPL limits dirt accumulation, keeping Trespa® Meteon® smooth and easy to clean.
Solid and Sturdy
Consistent and high-density throughout, Trespa® Meteon® holds bolts, screws and other mechanical fixings solidly. The panels have good compressive and tensile strength and excellent pullout and impact resistance, yet Trespa® Meteon® is easily machinable and workable.
